Euroa Horse Park is hosting a weekend of programs for people to learn more about how horses can be used for healing and to practise their riding skills.
Two programs will be hosted over two days, with the Horses 4 Healing clinic on Saturday, October 28, and the riding clinic on Sunday, October 29.
The weekend will be hosted by Sally Francis, an experienced horse riding coach of over 40 years who has been an assistant coach for five Paralympics and world championships.
Horses 4 Healing will focus on Ms Francis’ work with hippotherapy, a form of therapy using horses, as well as animal-assisted learning and animal-assisted therapy.
The hippotherapy session will also feature a special guest, Joann Formosa, a Paralympic gold medallist who has trained extensively with Ms Francis.
During the riding clinic, Ms Francis will use her coaching experience to run sessions on flat, poles and jumping.
