An Estia spokesperson said the day was also recognised by staff who all dressed up in their team colours.
“Before each round the dedicated supporters provided their footy tips to the lifestyle team, these were recorded for a hotly contested weekly competition,” the spokesperson said.
“Executive director Faye Audino and the Lifestyle team presented all participants with a certificate and their ranking among their peers.
“The outstanding winner Shirley Hodge has now added her name to the perpetual shield.
“Second place went to Dot Brauman and third place to Margaret Hyde.
“Finally last, but not least, the wooden spoon was awarded to Anne, a Geelong supporter who had the grand final yet to celebrate.
“It was a great celebration recognising all the residents for their participation, and for making it an exciting addition to their Lifestyle program.”
