Ritchies IGA Cobram manager Mandy Hawke said the event, held on Saturday, November 2, went well.
“We had an awesome crowd there,” Ms Hawke said.
“[It was] a great family environment, a free day out.”
The day’s entertainment opened with the Cobram Secondary School concert band before local musicians Paul Vitullo and Nicki Goldsworthy took over the sound stage.
Ms Hawke said the fun day provided an opportunity for members of the community to approach emergency services to discuss any concerns and queries with them.
“It provides a relaxed atmosphere for you to approach them and do that sort of thing,” she said.
“Generally, people only meet SES and emergency services after [an incident].”
While members of the SES Cobram Unit barbecued up a feast, Hungie Fangs offered its award-winning donuts. Bluebird Kindergarten also held a stall on the day selling fairy floss.
They were joined by Dutch Thunder Wildlife Shelter, whose stall enabled guests to learn more about how to manage injured fauna.
Ms Hawke confirmed the fun day would return next year for a 12th time.
Since beginning in 2013, the fun day has raised a total of $67,962 for the local SES Cobram Unit and CFA Unit.
Funds raised from raffle ticket sales this year amounted to no less than $6854.80, to be split between the SES Cobram Unit and the CFA Cobram Unit.
The money raised will go towards purchasing new equipment and maintaining existing facilities across both the SES and CFA Cobram units.
