Members were wearing Easter bonnets, rabbit ears and even bunny suits. Jan Young dressed as the Easter Bunny to hand out bags of Easter eggs to all members. Can you believe Dos Hanson, 97, joined in the fun by wearing a bunny suit?
Jack Dunham gave an interesting talk about his life around Rochester — Probian Behind the Badge.
Guest speaker was Mark Van Bergen from Wangaratta, who spoke about regional universities supporting small communities.
Mark is passionate about inclusive education, career development and lifelong learning. He understands personally the challenges of studying remotely, having completed his Masters of Education (educational research) by distance learning. He is the inaugural centre manager of Country Universities Centre — Ovens Murray, establishing sites in Wangaratta, Mansfield and Corryong.
Rochester Probus Club’s next meeting is on Monday, May 1, at 10am at Rochester Bowling Club and will focus on friendship. Bring along a friend.
If any retirees or semi—retirees would like to go along and join in the fun and fellowship, they would be most welcome.
