Schools were not going to finish out the school term without a celebration of the pending holiday.
The traditional Easter hat parade was popular across the district, but some schools also did something a little different.
At Deniliquin North School, a bunny themed performance added to the festivities.
Teacher Claire Wing said the parade started with a rousing rendition of ‘Here Comes Peter Cottontail by the Kindergarten’, Year 1 and Year 2 students.
“The performers did a great job, and the audience loved it,” Ms Wing said.
“This performance was followed by the hat parade itself.
“The students had created some wonderful hats. The senior students had also done some amazing things to their hair.
“This was a real team effort. Congratulations to the staff, parents and students for making this such a success.
“It was a wonderfully happy way to finish the term.”
