Deniliquin’s Fire + Rescue NSW brigade was called to an out of area incident this week to provide hazmat (hazardous materials) services.

About 12.40pm Monday they were called to provide assistance at what was initially reported simply as a motor vehicle incident about 80km north of Balranald.
Armed with their hazmat truck and specialist gear, the Deni crew arrived to find a b-double truck that was carrying livestock had rolled onto its side and off the road.
The driver of the truck had been taken to hospital for treatment.
The Deniliquin crew were on scene for eight hours, and returned to Deniliquin in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
