David first performed in Benalla in 2004 as part of its Opening Concert.
At his most recent performance, part of The Friends of BPACC’s Live 2022 Music Program, he was accompanied on piano by David Cameron, also a regular visitor to Benalla.
They were joined by BPACC debutant, soprano Georgia Wilkinson.
A Friends of BPACC spokesperson said people travelled from far and wide to attend.
“An avid fan travelled from Frankston to enjoy the show,” the spokesperson said.
“Another lady, Margaret, travelled from Broadmeadows, she has attended all of David’s performances at BPACC.”
The final performance in the Friends 2022 program will be on July 13 at 11am with What’s New Pussycat celebrating the music from the ’60s.
“Morning Music performances have been an important part of the BPACC Theatre seasons from 2004 to 2017 with more than 60 mornings (during) that time,” the spokesperson said.
“This performance was originally planned for June 8, but had to be cancelled due to the performers contracting COVID-19.
“Friends of BPACC are delighted that What’s New Pussycat will be on stage next week, on July 13, at 11am.”
What’s New Pussycat will feature Melissa Langdon and Mark Jones, and with a live band backing will deliver a toe-tapping performance.
It will feature all the wonderful songs that you remember from the ’60s and the Friends look forward to seeing you there.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in person from the BPACC Box Office, or by phoning 5762 5515.
