Mr Silvey will be at the library on Wednesday, May 3 at 6:30pm, and will share his experience and answer questions about his writing.
Runt is a children’s chapter book that follows Annie Shearer and her best friend, her dog Runt. The novel has already collected an award, winning Best Children’s Book, Indie Book Awards, 2023 and has been shortlisted in the Younger Reader, Book of the Year category in the 2023 Children’s Book Council of Australia awards.
Mr Silvey is a multi-award-winning author, writing the bestseller Honeybee as well as Jasper Jones, which has been adapted for film and stage.
Mr Silvey was set to visit in October last year, but due to flooding had to postpone his visit.
Goulburn Valley Libraries program co-ordinator Bronwyn Cole said she was looking forward to hearing about his latest book during his visit.
“It’s great that Craig is able to return to the Goulburn Valley after we missed out last year,” she said.
