He has put his hand up for McEwen Ward, having lived there previously, and also as there are projects there he would like to see come to fruition.
“I want to see lots of exciting projects progress for Greater Shepparton,” he said.
“I’d like to see the council return to surplus.
“There are a lot of exciting projects happening in McEwen Ward as well, such as the demand for increased basketball courts.”
He said his top priority was seeing projects that had started during his time on council progress to completion.
“I want to see major projects continue and come to fruition, such as the GV link, basketball stadium redevelopment and there are a lot of other exciting projects that I’d like to continue to pursue,” Mr Ladson said.
Some of the other projects are related to education and entertainment.
“The BMX pavilion, it’s a $1.7 million contract,” he said.
“The former Wanganui Park Secondary College campus is being redeveloped into a new campus for Verney Rd School.
“These are all projects happening in McEwen Ward.”
He said he was passionate about living in our region.
“I’m proud to call Greater Shepparton home,” he said.
“I’ve got a young family — my wife and I are expecting another (child).
“I run a locally owned small business in Greater Shepparton, I’ve been a teacher for over a decade in Greater Shepparton, and I’m invested in Greater Shepparton and just want people to be proud to call Greater Shepparton home.”
He said that if elected he would strive to be an approachable council member and listen to the issues of his ward.
“I’m happy to listen to anybody’s feedback or concerns about local council or any matters that they want to see addressed,” he said.
