The Campaspe: Thriving Together survey has recorded what is most important to the population of the Campaspe region, with opportunities to improve the health of locals the top of Echuca's list.
Access to good food and exercise options, mental health services after 5pm and community transport, as well as more bicycle paths and connectivity throughout Campaspe, and facilities such as drinking fountains, all found themselves on the priority list.
Providing a future for young people was also a priority, with local job opportunities, especially for young people, and access to opportunities for various career directions.
The community has also made clear a desire for better communication between council and the community, with clarification around decisions made by council and an increase in communication from council requested to counter a perceived lack of information for residents.
However, the full data of the survey will not yet be released to the community, with council telling the Riv ". . . it will be provided to councillors as part of the next step in the project, developing the council plan".
A brief sheet of information for each town within the community is available through the Campaspe Shire Council website.
