They were cute and colourful and were all around town.

Easter 2024 saw Cobram not only inundated with Easter eggs and hot cross buns but also wooden Easter bunnies.
The wooden bunnies, 15 in all, were a collaboration between Art for All, The Cobram Men’s Shed and The Sign Society and were placed in shops and businesses all around the Cobram township.
Cobram Men’s Shed secretary David Sezun said the group wanted to do something special for the community.
“Last year we made some Christmas decorations and we thought ‘why can’t we make some Easter bunnies,’” he said.
Mr Sezun said the bunnies were easy to make, thanks to a specialised machine that was used in the Cobram Men’s Shed
Arts for All treasurer Julie Glance said that once the bunnies were made at the Cobram Men’s Shed, Arts for All members painted the bunnies before giving them to local businesses to showcase.
Ms Glance said the bunnies were part of her group’s mission to brighten the town up with art and that the bunnies were well received.
“We only had 15 bunnies and we put out an expression of interest on Facebook to see who wanted to host them and we were overwhelmed by the response,” she said.
Bunny locations included Bendigo Bank, Big Mumma’s Kitchen, Floral Love Cobram, Cobram Newsagency, Bluebird Cobram Kindergarten, Bakers Delight and the Moira Shire Council offices.
Cobram’s Bakers Delight worker Remy Campbell told the Courier that she loved the bunny in her store and that the wooden creature had been hit with kids who come in.
Mr Sezun was pleased with how the wooden cutouts turned out.
