The opening event will feature free face painting and a barbecue at the new Federation Park location.
Cobram Toy Library president Steph Thompson said it promises to be a great day out for families.
“ They can come down and see what it’s all about and play with some toys,” she said.
Ms Thomas said that the grand opening day will have an special offer on memberships and gift cards for just $35 annually.
With a membership, you can take home and enjoy a variety of toys.
And it’s not just toys, the library also offers a range of costumes which Ms Thompsons said would come handy for Book Week, Halloween or any other events which require fancy dress.
“It does save money especially when you have to buy a few kids multiple costumes,” she said.
The library is in the process of buying new toys and has received a couple of large donations.
Ms Thompson aims for the Toy Library to be an essential service for the community
“We really just hope to create a community space for young families to come to borrow toys and play,” she said.
To this end Ms Thompson is hoping that the Toy Library will eventually host play sessions for local kids, noting a deficit of play sessions for kids around the area.
With the opening of the Toy Library Ms Thompson is also hoping for more volunteers to run the service.
