Cobram Secondary College is set to celebrate its 60th birthday on Saturday, November 5 in style with school tours and a Grease movie event.

Celebrations will begin with the college open for tours between 4pm and 5.30pm.
The college has undergone a massive transformation over recent years with upgraded or new facilities open for public viewing.
New facilities include fitness gyms, state-of-the-art classrooms, ANZAC commemorative gardens, an art gallery, canteen and a farm garden with an adjacent outdoor classroom.
School tours will be led by the newly inaugurated student leadership group and community members that purchased a personalised paver will be able to view them on the newly constructed memory path.
Cobram Secondary College principal Kimberley Tempest has expressed pride in the school’s new and revamped buildings and the benefits they will bring to students both present and into the future.
“We are really excited about showing the public the brand new and renovated facilities,” Ms Tempest said.
“These facilities are a symbol of the college’s commitment to be a leading educational facility and our passion to give the students who attend Cobram Secondary College the best opportunity to grow.”
At 6pm, the celebrations will move to the Cobram Community Cinema where a showing of the 1971 movie Grease will be held.
During the 60 years, Cobram Secondary College has held three Grease Lightning productions and there will be a display of production memorabilia from the 1990 and the 2004 productions.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up either as one of the pink ladies or T-birds with prizes for the best dressed.
Murphy’s Burger Bar in Cobram will be catering for the event with American diner food being served as befitting the theme.
The Grease screening will cost $30 and includes the film, food and a complimentary drink.
