Saputo Dairy Australia’s Cobram site has proudly received the 2024 Business of the Year award from Goulburn Murray Local Learning and Employment Networks, for the Moira Shire local government area.
This annual award recognises one business from each local government area serviced by GMLLEN for its exceptional involvement with local schools and students.
The award highlights SDA’s commitment to providing real ‘on-the-job’ experiences, industry connections and transition preparation through the School to Work pathway program.
SDA Cobram site manager Adam Harwood said it was a big honour.
“We are incredibly proud of the entire team at Cobram for their dedication to fostering strong connections with the community and providing valuable opportunities for local students to explore careers in the dairy industry,” he said.
“This award is a testament to our commitment to community engagement and the development of future industry leaders.”
GMLLEN school to work activities co-ordinator Abbey Monk said SDA offered extensive support to students.
“We commend SDA for all the touch points they’ve offered students throughout the year,” she said.
“We recognise this takes time and is a huge investment from everyone involved.
“We are immensely grateful for their commitment to provide opportunities to the young people in our community.”
