Since Berrigan Shire Council awarded the tender to the company, MS Constructions has been working to a tight deadline.
“We've got to have this project completed before Christmas, so it's going to be a very strong push,” Cobram's MS Constructions director Matt Sim said.
Almost $500,000 has been allocated to the Tocumwal Aviation Museum project and Mr Sim said it was a privilege to be a part of it.
“It's created jobs for a local shed company and for ourselves, we've got a lot of staff employed,” he said.
“We use NSW-based trades as well, so it's created jobs for plumbers and electricians there too.”
Mr Sim said the Tocumwal Aviation Museum would be an additional asset to the town.
“Tocumwal is known for its World War memorabilia, they've got a growing population out there with all their sheds and accommodation, so hopefully this will build a bit of tourism as well,” he said.
“It was great for us to be able to get something with the Berrigan Shire, who do a fantastic job getting government grants and funding for their community.”
He said MS Constructions had worked on a number of drought relief projects with Berrigan Shire Council, along with pool buildings, amenity blocks and a couple of projects on the foreshore.
“Any job we can do locally in Cobram, Barooga and Tocumwal is fantastic, so it's nice to do another project for the community again.”
