Cobram Anglican Grammar students raise more than $6000 for Heart Foundation

Over the course of Term 2, 47 energetic students from Cobram Anglican Grammar took part in the heart skipping challenge to rise money for the Heart Foundation.

The selfless young fundraisers were sponsored to jump rope. The longer they went, the more they raised.

Many went over and above their target and once finished the students raised an amazing $6250.

The heart skipping challenge is currently celebrating its 40th year.

To celebrate they have an ambitious aim of having people jump rope for 40,000 hours — and have already reached 26,950.

CAG Year 3 student Koa Wilson raised $556, and Year Two student Liam Murphy raised almost $500.

Four students managed to reach a total north of $300, while four others managed to reach $200.

As a thank you for their skipping and fundraising exploits, at the end of term three, each participating student received a certificate of appreciation and small gift from the Heart Foundation.

The students’ collective efforts will help support Australians living with heart disease by contributing to the funding of high-impact research, as well as by building community awareness around living a heart-healthy lifestyle.
