**About to get their cook on:** Cobram Anglican Grammar students are thrilled to have new equipment.

Cobram Anglican Grammar School has received $500 worth of cooking equipment, donated by the Parents and Friends Committee in a bid to help the food tech classes.

All Year 7-10 students and fellow primary school students will have access to the new equipment, which includes four new hand beaters, 10 new frypans of different sizes and five saucepans to replace their outdated equipment.

The donations are a huge boost for the school as it runs a range of high school classes but also fellow primary school students use the kitchen for their Agriculture/Horticulture lessons.

Food Technology teacher Carolyn White said this donation was helpful to all classes that conduct food technology and primary school education programs.

“When the primary classes use the foods room, the classes are larger which means we need more equipment for them to use,” Mrs White said.

“The donation allowed us to buy non-stick frypans, saucepans and hand-beaters, which are useful for all year levels to use.”

Mrs White said the donation would benefit the school community greatly and thanked the parent and friends committee for their ongoing support in the future.

“The students were delighted to be able to use the new equipment this term. The Cobram AGS parents and friends fundraise to support the purchase of equipment or programs that benefit the majority of the school community and this donation has certainly done that,” she said.
