Cobram and District Pony Club had a visit from the Extreme Cowgirls from the High Country on Sunday.

It was an amazing day for all the riders and their families to meet Kim Paterson and her daughter Bridie, who is the Australian junior champion.
Bridie is also representing Australia in the Extreme Cowboy Racing World Championships in Texas in October.
Kim spoke and taught the riders about horsemanship, body control, obstacle approach and departure, technique on obstacles and many other things.
Extreme Cowgirls are affiliated with the Extreme Cowboy Association and disciplines cover obstacles, good horsemanship in ground and ridden skills and building confidence, before going as fast as you can through a course, which is timed.
Cobram and District Pony Club has more than 60 members and is affiliated with Equestrian Victoria.
The club continues to work with its members on developing riding skill programs, horsemanship, certificate work for the riders, rallies first and third Sunday of the month, running of events, social opportunities with having great fun and community spirit.
