Riverlinks proudly presents an evening of sparkling Mendelssohn and powerful Mozart courtesy of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
This orchestral performance, featuring Cybec assistant conductor fellow Carlo Antonioli, promises to be a celebration of musical brilliance.
It will take place at Riverlinks Eastbank on Wednesday, October 4.
The program includes:
- Felix Mendelssohn’s evocative overture The Hebrides, a tribute to the breathtaking beauty of Fingal’s Cave in Scotland’s Hebrides islands, where nature’s grandeur meets artistic inspiration.
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A major, a stunning showcase of the rare and extraordinary basset clarinet, performed by David Thomas.
- James Henry’s newly commissioned work Wildhaa as part of MSO’s First Voices Composer program.
- Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 in A major, Op. 90, known as the ‘Italian’, conducted by Carlo Antonioli.
Riverlinks acting manager Hannah Shelton expressed her enthusiasm for the evening of classical excellence.

“This performance is sure to captivate both seasoned music enthusiasts and newcomers to orchestral performances."
