A mobile COVID-19 testing clinic was set up in Tocumwal from October 15 to 18 and was last in Barooga on October 7.“Anybody can go to any of our sites, we try to select a location that is easily accessible and can accommodate a large number of people,” a Murrumbidgee Local Health District spokesperson said.“Our team works with the Primary Health Network and local councils to identify where the highest demand for testing is; we tend not to go where there is testing at GPs.
“We're asking anybody that's the slightest bit symptomatic to come forward and get tested, especially if they've been to Shepparton in the past two weeks.”Greater Shepparton is included in the NSW border bubble region and Murrumbidgee Local Health District's medical director Len Bruce said they were being extremely vigilant.“Large-scale COVID-19 testing allows health services to quickly identify who has the disease and arrange for them to receive the care needed,” Mr Bruce said.He said he would not be surprised if the testing discovered more positive cases and that the Shepparton cases were being watched closely. Those who would like to get tested should phone the Murrumbidgee COVID-19 Hotline on 1800 831 099 to book an appointment.
