Barooga facility picks up award for community health and wellbeing

BARC has been the cornerstone of community health and wellbeing for more than 30 years.

The facility boasts an indoor heated 25m pool, multi-purpose indoor court, gymnasium, group fitness studio, crèche and meeting rooms.

BARC has more than 50,000 visits every year and is the home of six local and regional swimming clubs.

Sporties Barooga manager sports and leisure Melanie Holt was in attendance and was honoured to accept the award.

“BARC offers a range of services through the aquatic centre, the gym, the rehabilitation, and our general contribution to wellbeing,” Ms Holt said.

“We are really grateful to receive this award.”
