Barooga and Tocumwal residents have found out who will be running the state, as newly elected NSW Premier Chris Minns unveils his cabinet.
Ryan Park will be taking the portfolios of Health, Regional Health, Illawarra and South Coast while Penny Sharpe will take charge of NSW’s Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Heritage.
Regional NSW, including Tocumwal and Barooga, will come under Tara Moriarty, who will also be taking over the Agriculture and Western NSW portfolios.
The new minister for Regional Transport and Roads will be Jenny Aitchison.
The new premier has heaped praise on his colleagues and said they had a challenge ahead of them.
“We have a lot of hard work in front of us, and a big responsibility, but my team and I are up to the challenge,” Mr Minns said.
“We have a clear mandate from the people of NSW to rebuild our essential services, to invest in the people who look after us — our nurses, teachers, paramedics, firefighters and police officers.”
The Labor Government has declared it is focused on helping families and households cope with the increasing cost of living and the energy crisis, as well as fixing schools and hospitals around the state.
