She will also be visiting Shepparton Library on August 18 at 6.30pm and Euroa Library on August 19 at 10am.
Ms Hickey spoke at Shepparton Library late last year and is described as an engaging speaker.
Her novel Cutters End was recently shortlisted in the Best Debut Crime Fiction category in the Ned Kelly Awards and she has also just released her new book, Stone Town.
Goulburn Valley Libraries program co-ordinator Brownyn Cole said she was thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to the community.
“Anyone who enjoyed reading Cutters End will want to come and hear all about Stone Town, which again features Senior Sergeant Mark Ariti,” she said.
“I’m excited that Marg is coming to visit our libraries, not just one but three, making her more accessible to our community members.
“It’s a fabulous opportunity for the people of the Goulburn Valley to hear from an award-winning author."
Stone Town features all the hallmarks of a classic, with a murder mystery set against the Australian landscape, a police officer looking for a quiet posting, and a discovery that disrupts everything.
Ms Hickey was born to Australian parents in London, but grew up in small country towns across Victoria, and has travelled across the Middle East, Asia, South America and Europe.
She has a PhD in creative writing, specialising in landscape depictions in Australian literature, and is also a judge for the Joseph Furphy Literary Awards, a premier Australian short story competition.
To join Ms Hickey in Cobram, Euroa or Shepparton, contact Goulburn Valley Libraries on 1300 374 765 or email gvlibraries@gvlibraries.com.au
Copies of her book will be available to purchase at each event.
