The day will start with a dawn service and flyover at 6am at the Cobram and District War Memorial, with a gunfire breakfast from Sporties to follow at the Cobram Civic Centre with a gold coin donation.
A march will begin at 9.30am and will run along Punt Rd between the staging area opposite the Woolworths petrol station and William St.
The commemoration service will start at 10am at the memorial and will involve students from Cobram and District Specialist School, Cobram Anglican Grammar and St Mary of the Angels Nathalia.
The Army School of Health is providing a catafalque party at both services, with special guest Captain Ashley Papp CSC RAN speaking at the commemorative service.
The Murray Border Flying Club is doing the flyover at the dawn service and the 10am service.
Light refreshments at the Civic Centre courtesy of the Cobram Rotary and Cobram Apex clubs are available with a gold coin donation requested.
Cobram Barooga RSL, alongside school students, will be conducting a service at 11am at Cobram Regional Care (Ottrey Homes) for those unable to attend other events.
St Margaret’s Anglican Church is holding a special Anzac Day church service on April 24 at 9.30 to honour the sacrifices of people who served.
Access to Punt Rd, William St and some other surrounding roads will have limited access between 8am and 11am on April 25.
Veterans who would like to march but are unable to do so are invited to ride with community members; contact John on 0417 101 219 to request a ride.
Strathmerton services
Strathmerton RSL will be holding an Anzac Day services and wreath-laying ceremony at the Strathmerton War Memorial from 8.45am to 9.20am.
It will also unveil a bench seat in memory of the late postmaster John Burke after the ceremony.
