Moira Shire Council administrators endorsed council’s 2023-24 Annual Report at a scheduled meeting on Wednesday, October 23.
Moira Shire Council Chair Administrator Graeme Emonson said the annual report was one of the key transparency documents produced by the council alongside its budget and council plan.
“It provides a comprehensive overview of the council’s achievements for the past year, all aimed at benefiting the Moira Shire community,” he said.
“The information presented demonstrates the breadth of services delivered for the community, from immunisations and waste management to roads and bridges, recreation facilities and community grants. It is a testament to the hard work done in 2023-24, and we look forward to continuing to further enhance services whilst laying a strong foundation for Moira’s future.”
The council would like to draw attention to several projects completed within the past financial year, including the Cobram Apex Park car park, lighting upgrades at the Numurkah Recreation Reserve and the Strathmerton Walking Track.
The annual report provides the council and ratepayers an opportunity to reflect upon the council’s financial performance over the latest financial year.
