Wahgunyah Primary School has received $20,000 to address high priority maintenance tasks thanks to the Victorian State Government’s maintenance blitz funding.
Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced that Wahgunyah is one of four schools in the Benambra electorate to share in $7.8 million allocated to over 100 schools for the Term 1 Planned Maintenance Program funding.
The Planned Maintenance Program provides funding for high-priority maintenance across Victoria’s government school network.
It ensures schools can undertake essential work to classrooms and other school buildings and fixtures, including fixing roofs and replacing windows, resurfacing floors and painting, as well as external landscaping works like improving pathways and lighting.
“This latest round of our Planned Maintenance Program means we’re delivering the repairs and maintenance our local schools need, to deliver the better learning experiences kids deserve,” Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes
