The Distinguished Dealer Awards have been running since 1981 and recognises outstanding performance throughout the year for vehicle sales, part sales, service and customer experience.
The dealership was one of seven recognised nationally, including four metropolitan branches, two provincial and one rural.
An online presentation was held to announce the winners on June 8.
De Maria Mitsubishi business manager Karl De Maria has been working at the dealership for about 24 years and said he was proud to receive the award.
“It's an absolutely amazing achievement from our team, we were all so excited,” Mr De Maria said.
“It's our sixth award as a Mitsubishi dealer and we're running out of shelf space in our display cabinet.”
The business has a team of 10 staff members working to provide the best customer service experience.
“We have customer satisfaction indexes where a survey is given out to customers after a sales experience,” he said.
“You have to get 93 per cent to be in the running for the award and we have an average of 98 per cent.”
For the past 60 years, dealer principal Frank De Maria has been running the business.
He said he was honoured to receive the prestigious award.
“De Maria Mitsubishi is a family-owned business where our team strives to give our customers the very best service and attention,” he said.“Customers are our business, this award is theirs.”
Frank thanked the customers and team at De Maria Mitsubishi for their support.
