Recently a congregation of painted and decorated spoons have popped up on River Rd near Thompsons Beach.
A total of 28 ‘residents’ make up Cobram's Spoonville population as of October 14, sporting googly eyes, pipe-cleaner hair-dos and generous lashings of colour.
One local said they drove past one day and noticed four kooky kitchen utensils plugged into the ground.
A week later, the population had more than trebled.
But this isn't anything out of the ordinary — at least not in Australia.
The Spoonville movement has become somewhat of a craze, fast becoming the nation's go-to boredom-buster during coronavirus lockdown.
Sold as an inclusive activity for adults and children alike, people are encouraged to get creative with their cutlery — so why not add to the ever-expanding Spoonville neighbourhood in Cobram today?
