Cobram Lions Club president Max Austin said he had a lot of return customers buying the cakes.
“For all the money raised, the profits go back into the community through donations that we give,” Mr Austin said.
“They're pretty popular cakes, a lot of people buy them as a present and there are a few people that have already been looking for them.
“It's good to see them in the shops and we're keeping the community happy for Christmas.”
Cobram Lions Club member Ronald Simon said the cakes could be enjoyed year-round.
“I personally love the small $2 cakes, especially with a cup of coffee,” he said.
“Pop a bit in the microwave with some custard or ice cream, and you have a delicious dessert anytime of year.”
A large traditional Christmas cake is $17 and the smaller cakes and puddings are $13.
The festive treats are now available at the following locations:
● Cobram Newsagency
● Artavilla Emporium
● Supreme Meats
● Murray River Butchery
● Mitre 10
The Cobram Lions Club members will also be selling the cakes and can organise delivery for their customers within Cobram.
