Award-winning author and playwright Margaret Hickey will be returning to Goulburn Valley Libraries this July to promote her latest novel.
Hickey will visit Euroa Library on Thursday, July 13 at 2pm, followed by a visit to Shepparton Library at 6:30pm. She will be there to introduce her third crime novel, Broken Bay, featuring her popular character Detective Mark Ariti, and says the novel will delve into decades-long feuds and loyalties.
“I’m excited to share the latest Mark Ariti novel with readers,” she said.
“This time, our detective is in the Limestone coast and it’s a real joy to talk about that area with its hidden sinkholes and wild coastline.”
Ms Hickey is a familiar name in the Goulburn Valley, with her regular radio spots as well as being a judge for the Joseph Furphy Literary Awards. As well as being a bestselling author, she is also a talented playwright, whose plays have been performed in regional Victoria, Brisbane, Melbourne and New York.
To join her at the Euroa or Shepparton library, contact Goulburn Valley Libraries on 1300 374 765 or email gvlibraries@gvlibraries.com.au. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at both events.
