An incursion had been postponed two times due to lockdowns, however, through determination and persistence, students and teachers have enjoyed Olympic Day.
Students dressed in the colours of the Olympic rings and took part in making country flags for the parade.
They then all had a turn at some ‘Strathy Olympic Game activities’, such as the bean bag toss, sprints, and hockey.
The highlight of the day was a visit from Olympic gold medallist Andrew Cooper, who won gold in the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.
Mr Cooper shared his story with the whole school and provided students insight on the work that goes into becoming an Olympic athlete.
